WineThe benefits of wine were described by Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, who said that “wine is something admirably suited to man, both in health and in sickness, if you are given timely and proper measure, according to individual constitution.

Take a little wine is healthy, the wine is an alcoholic beverage to which is attributed anticancer and antioxidant properties thanks to certain substances it contains.

In scientific terms the wine has certain components which act on plasma lipids (mainly cholesterol, HDL), platelets or blood clotting in cardiovascular protection.

Today we know that the tannins in red wines – when practiced moderate consumption-cleaner helps keep our arteries, helping to prevent cardiovascular disease. Recent studies have also shown that resveratrol, a substance found in the skin of red grapes, may help slow aging and prevent aging diseases like Alzheimer’s.

Do You Hate Vegetables? Eat Popcorn

popcornThe next time you have a craving, eat popcorn and watch them because apparently they are very good for health.

A new U.S. research found that the popcorn is not only an important source of fiber, are rich in antioxidants, substances that help reduce the risk of cancer and cardiovascular disease.

The study analyzed the level of antioxidants in various snacks, including popcorn, and cereal flour and grain popularly eaten for breakfast. He found that these products contain quantities “unbelievably large” of polyphenols, antioxidant compounds also found in fruits, vegetables, red wine and chocolate.
